Cost - Outcome

• A book will document the outcomes of the conference, together with a synthesis for political stakeholders.
• A poster show will be prepared for display at government locations.
• Side Event: Workshop of students with a Young Scientist Poster Award

The outcome of the conference is a document that expresses the need for future research from the point of view of the participants. The enclosed < Executive Summary > is based on the keynote lectures and the outcome of the discussion groups.

Proceedings

Keynote speakers are asked to prepare a manuscript on their presentation for the Conferences Series of the Innsbruck University Press (iup) 'Alpine Space -- Man and Environment'.

The deadline for submission is May 31, 2008. The manuscript should be sent to Robert Jandl .

The format guidelines are:

•     Length of approx 10 pages
•     Title, Abstract, Keywords, Structure of scientific paper including references
•     Authors are asked to suggest 2 reviewers.

The layout will be done by iup. The booklet is expected to be printed
in June 2008. Each author receives a reference copy.

After the meeting, a small group will draft an Executive and Summary Report of approximately 30 pages based on the outcome of the discussion groups. A professional science journalist will then modify the report, which will be circulated among the keynote speakers and the chairs for comments. The Executive and Summary Report will be produced at BFW.

Format for Posters: A0, Portrait. Material to affix the poster on the board will be provided.

A jury will assess the posters. A best poster award will be given for three posters in a ceremonial manner at the final lunch.
