Combined herbicide/fertilizer-damage to Christmas trees | deutsch

Symptoms    Yellowing of needles, reduced shoot growth, swelling of shoots, bending of shoots, dieback of shoots.
Impact    A common consequence of misapplied herbicides (spray), misapplied fertilisers (mostly over-fertilisation) and high precipitation following the application of fertilisers (leaching).
Control    If herbicides are applied in vicinity of Christmas tree-plantations - precise spraying required (no wind, precise dosage), sparing fertilisation, never during rain.

Affected plant parts    Leaf; Needle; Shoot/Twig/Branch; Stem;
