Small eggar moth - Eriogaster lanestris | deutsch

Symptoms    Feeding on leaves from the rim, often total defoliation; caterpillars in cocoons, up to 50mm in length, with dark, whitish, yellowish or reddish hairs, on the back two rows of brown spots; butterfly up to 42mm, brown, on the forewing one thin white cross-line and a small white spot; on the back wing one indistinct white cross-line.
Impact    Widespread in Europe, but epiidemics only local; total defoliation on various broadleaved shrubs and trees, rarely with subsequent damage to twigs and branches.
Control    Hardly any necessary
