Occurrence map
|
 | Yellowing of needles, reduced shoot growth, swelling of shoots, bending of shoots, dieback of shoots.
| | Affected tree species | Fir; Spruce; | Affected parts | Leaf; Needle; Stem; Shoot/Twig/Branch; |
|
 | A common consequence of misapplied herbicides (spray), misapplied fertilisers (mostly over-fertilisation) and high precipitation following the application of fertilisers (leaching).
Curative measures If herbicides are applied in vicinity of Christmas tree-plantations - precise spraying required (no wind, precise dosage), sparing fertilisation, never during rain.
